SOUND AND GRAPHIC DESIGN TECHNOLOGY PROJECT
Bay City Players is grateful for Hemlock Semi Conductor and Bay Arts Council for providing grant support to purchase two new design computers.
In January 2021, Bay City Players received $1,500 from Bay Arts Council to fund the project. In April 2021, Bay City Players received $3,500 from the Hemlock Semiconductor Donor Advised Fun of the Bay Area Community Foundation.
These funds will support the Sound and Graphic Design Technology Project which will purchase two design computers to be utilized in delivering our mission of high-quality theatrical experiences for the entertainment, education, and enrichment of the community.
The grants accomplished partially funding the purchase of two design computers that now help staff and volunteers deliver our mission of high-quality entertainment. The Sound and Graphic Design Technology Project has made a huge difference in our organization by improving our technological equipment and providing staff and volunteers with the necessary equipment to do their jobs. The new sound computer was utilized for our outdoor production of Godspell and the new graphic design computer is utilized daily to create graphic design assets and complete day-to-day operations. The new computers increase job efficiency and have reduced time spent on troubleshooting.
The project impacts participants and the broader community as it enhances our ability to provide our mission to educate and enrich the community. People learn about performing arts by experiencing it whether it is in the audience or backstage! The new computers allow us to do our jobs without a bunch of headaches, therefore, impacting our mission of serving the community.
Thank you again, Bay Arts Council and Hemlock Semiconductor for supporting this project and our mission.
