When AIDS first raised its fearful head in the States, there was a world of accusation, terror, horrible misunderstanding, and death. It has taken decades of denial, struggle, slow understanding, and medical advancement to reach where we are today. THE NORMAL HEART is based on the real-life experiences of the playwright, his world, his friends, and his lover. It is poignant and devastating, yet rewarding to watch and begin to understand just what is the normal heart? Rated R. Appropriate for mature audiences. This production contains strong language and adult themes and content. Questions or more information call (989) 893-5555 or visit our website at www.baycityplayers.org. “The Normal Heart” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. www.concordtheatricals.com
