2023-2024 Director Applications are now open! To be a director at Bay City Players, we ask that a person has previously directed at Bay City Players, assisted twice with extensive experience in Bay City Players productions, have relevant theatre education (a degree), or equivalent experience elsewhere as a director. Directors for plays and plays with music will receive a $750 stipend and directors for a musical will receive a $1,000 stipend. A show overview of each production is included in this packet. Central Registry and Sex Offender Registry clearances required.
Applications must be completed online https://forms.gle/pKMPp4ThUXHNc5427. Applications will be accepted through March 10, 2023, at 5:00 PM. Please make your application as complete as possible. Based on evaluation of applications, potential directors may be interviewed on March 11 & 12. Directors will be voted on at our March 13th board meeting.
If you are chosen to direct a production, you will be required to attend a pre-season production meeting in June. This is a mandatory meeting for all directors. Once directors are selected, we will conduct a poll to see what day works best for all the directors. All productions and production dates are subject to change at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
