INTO THE WOODS
Book by James Lapine
Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim
April 26-28 & May 3-5, 2024
What if wishes came true? Into the Woods follows three storybook characters on their enchanting journeys to have their wishes granted. There is Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk; and the baker and his wife, who wish to have a child. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch’s curse, the two set off on an adventure to break it. Everything is looking promising for all the characters, but what happens after “the happily ever after”? This Tony Award-winning musical by James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim is a dark comedic twist on classics that will change how you look at fairy tales forever. Rated PG-13.
