“A mixture of twinkling charm and driving egomania …”
– The Guardian
In a world where silly people demand to be taken very seriously, Garry Essendine is in the center. Swirling around him are his court of admirers and friends, all demanding a chunk of him before he embarks on a trip he believes to be his doom. Business partners, lovers, employees alike wish to mold Garry into what they believe him to be and ignore his own desires as an act or flights of fancy. This matinee idol spins round and round attending to his orbiting relationships, all while trying to indulge and understand the most perplexing of them all… himself.
