Bay City Players’ Encore Youtheatre program aims to provide educational and enriching theatrical experiences for youth in the local tri-city area. We offer year-round workshops ranging in topics from specialty and basic makeup application to audition preparedness, as well as an annual summer program. To ring in the next season of Encore Youtheatre, we hold auditions for our annual Youtheatre production, where those who are cast have the opportunity to be directed by experienced theatre educators.

2026 Camp Sessions

Session 1 Youtheatre Summer Camp

Registration for the student creative team closes May 3

Placement Auditions:
  • May 4 @ 6:00 PM

Auditions will consist of readings from the script.

A mandatory parent meeting will be held on the night of auditions. 
Campers will be contacted with their placement by Wednesday, May 6. Campers must arrive almost fully memorized by the first day of camp.
Camp Dates:
  • Wednesday through Friday: June 10-12 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Monday through Friday: June 15- 26 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Performances: June 27 @ 2:00 PM & June 28 @ 2:00 PM (campers will be asked to arrive one and a half hours before the performance to get ready)
camp information
Campers may be dropped off at the side door between 9:45 and 10:00 AM and picked up between 2:00 and 2:15 PM.
Students must be picked up inside at the end of each day, unless a release authorization form has been signed by the parent or legal guardian of the camper.
Campers will be expected to bring their own lunch every day of camp. 
2026 Tuition Options:
  • $100 with a minimum of 6 required volunteer hours per camper registered. Volunteer hours may be completed by a family member of the camper 18+. Volunteer paperwork will be sent before the parent meeting. Arrive at the parent meeting with all paperwork (Google Forms and physical copies) completed and/or signed for every individual volunteering in the program.
  • $150 with no volunteer hours required 
  • Partial scholarships available. Email info@baycityplayers.org if you require financial assistance
